Our Program
The Sno Mountain
Ski Team is a season-long training program for
intermediate to advanced skiers ages 8 through 18, in
either racing or
freestyle skiing. Team members are coached and trained in
these
specialties at Sno Mountain located in Scranton, PA. Some
members also
compete in USSA events at other ski areas as part of a
travel team for
Sno Mountain. We are quickly becoming a major force in ski
racing and freestyle skiing...Any yes,
We do have fun!

You choose
your training specialty!
Junior Racing: This program provides in-depth training in
the techniques and skills of alpine racing.
This diverse supervised training is for the
advanced-intermediate and above skier who wants to improve
their skiing to either compete
in ski racing or become a better recreational skier.
OR
Freestyle: If your desire is to conquer the bumps, learn
the tricks of upright aerials or handle any extreme snow
condition on the mountain, the Sno Mountain Freestyle
Program has it all! The program focuses on developing
technical skills for mogul
competition and other training in all aspects of freestyle
skiing.
The sessions run Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with a one hour lunch break from 11 AM to 12 PM. A valid lift ticket or Sno
Mountain Season Pass is required and is not provided in the cost of the training programs. It is recommended that season passes be
purchased at the pre-season discount. Sorry, we cannot extend pre-season discount dates, so buy passes early!
Sno Mountain Ski Team is a Member Competition Club of the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA), Pennsylvania Amateur
Racing Association (PARA) and Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). All training is held on the property of Sno Mountain as scheduled.
In addition, Sno Mountain coaches will be attending USSA races and freestyle events off of the Sno Mountain property. Any travel costs, USSA membership fees, competition fees and lift tickets at the host mountains are solely the responsibility of the parent and participant. Our coaches will meet Ski Team members at the events at a pre-determined time and place at the host mountain. Our coaches will have information on USSA Freestyle and USSA and PARA Racing memberships and competitions; however, membership in any of these organizations is not a requirement of the Sno Mountain program. They are, however, required if you would like to travel to events off Sno Mountain property with the team. Visit www.ussa.org (USSA) and www.paracing.org (PARA) for more information.
