Michele works as a Director of Strategy and Scientific Communications for a renown global pharmaceutical company. She received a Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where she competed on the collegian Rowing Team. As a Registered Nurse, Michele has worked as a clinical nurse in many different departments including ER, Oncology, and Telemetry. Michele is a Veteran that served as an officer in the US Air Force. Michele’s love and passion for skiing began in high school as a member of her High School’s ski club and whatever club she could join to get an affordable night skiing. Having a very competitive nature as an athlete in High School Cross Country and Track, she continued to compete in running events including Marathons and Half Ironman Triathlons. In her younger years, Michele competed in Freestyle Skiing Events and had two seasons of podium finishes in the Mogul Competition at the Keystone State Games. Montage Mountain was always her hometown ski area that fired her passion for skiing. About 6 years ago, she tried NASTAR racing at Montage and was instantly hooked on alpine ski racing. She has competed in alpine ski races including ASRA, Adult Race Leagues, Eastern Council Cup, Mid-Atlantic Masters, and NASTAR Nationals. As a working mother of two, she now is an active race mom of an aspiring junior racer in the US Ski and Snowboard pipeline and volunteers as a race worker and loves cheering on her daughter’s teammates. Michele also is an assistant coach at the Summer Alpine Training Camp for Waterville Valley Academy in New Hampshire. Michele is one of Montage Mountain’s NASTAR Pacesetters. She is a Board Member of Mountain Ski Training, Inc. because she has a great appreciation for alpine ski racing being a vector of health and physical fitness and wants to contribute to seeing that racers young and old have access to racing education, training opportunities, and safety of the race venue. She has been collaborating with MST, Inc. members to prioritize both short term and long term goals and projects.

Mark is a former Resource Specialist who is retired from the State of New Jersey Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Program. As a dual career, Mark was also Ski and Snowboard School Director at Montage Mountain for 20 years and had a 42 year run as a Level III certified Professional Ski Instructor of America working on staff teaching, technical improvement and training. Mark is currently Assistant Ski and Snowboard School Director at Montage Mountain Resort and works as the Race Administrator for US Ski and Snowboard Races, Junior Ski Team events, Adult Race League, and NASTAR. Mark also finds time to be a Summer Alpine Training Camp Coordinator at Waterville Valley Academy in New Hampshire. As Former Cross Country Runner, Marathoner, and Tri-Athlete, Mark has a great appreciation for the outdoors and staying active as a means of health and overall wellness. Currently Mark is an Alpine Coach and Alpine Official within US Ski and Snowboard and is driven to provide the best programs, training, and races for competitive and recreational athletes young and old.
